Gasboy Atlas Dispenser Training Certification Requirement

Starting December 1st, 2022, Gasboy will require that all service technicians working on the Gasboy Atlas equipment will need to have completed the “Gasboy Atlas Dispenser Training Certification” training in Saba.

 

This certification is currently self-enrollment and is free in Saba.  The prerequisites for the “Gasboy Atlas Dispenser Training Certification” training is the API-POST Certification.

 

After December 1st, 2022, TAC will no longer support technicians that have not completed this certification training.

 

If you haven’t completed this training already, please plan accordingly to help ensure that Gasboy customers are being supported. This service bulletin is related to Gasboy Atlas equipment only.

Atlas Install Documentation

This notification is to inform ASC’s and distributors that Gasboy is no longer providing paper documents which included Installation Instructions and wiring diagrams which were previously sent as a packet with each Atlas Pump and Dispenser.

The serial plate on each unit provides the following notice: “Instructions available at www.gilbarco.com/manuals." By using the following website, you will be directed to a Public Documents Extranet page where you can search and download the necessary documentation to help the installer or contractor install an Atlas Pump or dispenser.

Discontinuation of PushPass Service

Gasboy previously offered a PCI DSS compliant fuel management system called the CFN III. For PCI compliance the user’s password would need to be reset every 90 days. If the password was not updated within that time frame, the customer would need to contact the Gasboy Technical support team to have the password reset. The program used to perform that process was called PushPass. In 2013 there was a notice to inform all distributors that this product was being discontinued and marked as end of life. Due to the lack of support to maintain that legacy program, we will no longer be able to provide that service. If you are aware of any customers that may still be using this product, please coordinate time as soon as possible to discuss upgrade plans with them or reach out to our sales team at sales@gasboy.com to discuss upgrade options.

***Please note with this discontinuation of this service, any customer that needs to reset their PCI password, the CFN III controller will no longer be accessible for them to manage their fuel station.

Update: Gasboy Training Video Library

In an effort to help our Authorized Service Contractors improve and sustain their Gasboy product knowledge, we have worked with the Gilbarco Technical Training Center to create a Gasboy Training Video Library.

The library has videos related to:

  • Fleet Head Office Software (FHO)
  • EKOS Cloud hosted Software
  • Prime Systems
  • Plus Systems
  • Fuel Point PLUS
  • Atlas Dispenser/Pumps

Any Certified Technician can log into the Saba Learning Center and register to view any of current videos.  Select the specific library option you are interested in and select LaunchSee the picture below.

You can then play the video and pause as needed.  The videos are designed to walk the technician through tasks they may encounter while on site.

We feel the Gasboy Training Video Library will be an added benefit to supplement the current MDE documents and provide specific content that a technician can reference when servicing Gasboy systems.

The Gasboy Video Library is a fairly new service tool, and the Gasboy Service team is continuing to add new items to the library as quickly as possible. We are interested to know what topics or content our ASC’s are interested in seeing. If you would like to submit your idea, please forward them to mark.miller@gasboy.com.

How to Sign-Up for Service Bulletins

Gilbarco provides our ASC’s with Gasboy Product Service Bulletins which are released periodically throughout the year to inform you of the new or upcoming changes applied to the Gasboy Fuel Management systems and Dispensers. The process is simple once you are logged into the Gilbarco Extranet.

Once logged in, use the left hand menu column to choose Technician Resources.

 

 

 

 

 

 menu 1On the technician resources page, choose the Bulletin Notification option in the left hand menu.

When the Service Bulletin Subscriptions page populates you will be able add a new subscription for notifications.

First, input the email address where you would like to have the notifications delivered. Then, if you would like to receive any attachments click, Include Attachments.

 Note: The attachment will be the actual Service Bulletin. This is very helpful so you don't have to log in to go read the bulletin.  

  • Determine if you would like to only receive the notification or the full article and click the appropriate radio button.
  • After all information has been entered click on Subscribe.

Once you submit, your email address and notification type will be displayed; verify that all the information is correct. You will now start to receive email notifications when new product service bulletins are released!

OrPAY1000 New Software Release (02.32.05)

Need to know!

Recent calls received from technicians working on Gasboy Prime or Atlas Prime Startups or servicing and replacing the Orpay 1000 Terminal indicate that the field is not aware of the new security update that was applied.

Version 02.32.05 requires the technician to initially use the following credentials to log in.

User = Admin

Password = Admin

After the first sign in using Admin/Admin, you will be prompted to change the password for the Admin user. Gasboy recommends using 1Admin1! (one Admin one exclamation point), as the new password.

You will also notice the addition of two new buttons. Change Password and Reset Password.

The change password is used if the business has a need to change the current password.

Please refer to Gasboy Service Bulletin #3104 for all the details related to this newer Orpay 1000 software.

Gilbarco Veeder-Root is closely monitoring updates regarding COVID-19 to ensure the safety of our employees and to minimize the impact on our customers.

The COVID-19 coronavirus is having a profound impact on every industry—including ours. We are aware of the uncertainty and want to share what we're doing here at Gilbarco to help address this.

Out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our employees and their families, Gilbarco has banned all non-essential travel globally.  Any exceptions to the travel ban will require senior leadership approval and will be limited to only instances that are essential to business operation and that can only be accomplished in person—and not via remote communication—and which don’t create any undue health risks.

At Gilbarco’s Greensboro campus a measure has been employed to reduce person-to-person contact to minimize any potential spread of the virus. We are practicing social distancing to reduce contact among individuals and ensure work spaces are not congested, large group meetings are not held, and the concentration of people in close spaces is minimized. With these goals in mind, we are taking a variety of steps to stagger start times, breaks and lunch breaks, conduct virtual meetings, and ensure working areas are less concentrated.  

Additionally, we have identified groups of workers who are able do their jobs remotely to reduce the number of people in the Greensboro facility. The goal of this action is to improve the health and safety for all employees who are required to be in the facility to ensure production continues with minimum interruption.

An updated Service Bulletin has been released to ASC's in relation to new software versions available- SB 3089 is available in the Gilbarco Extranet under Technical Resources.

Related Equipment:

  • Nano Nozzle Reader (WGT/Wireless Programmer/OrPAY1000-WGT)
  • OrPAY1000 firmware (Prime System)
  • WGT Software (Plus system WGT’s/External WGT’s/ NOT FOR PRIME OrPAY1000-WGT)
  • Wireless Programmer (Plus and Prime)

Remedy: Files are available on the Gasboy FTP in the appropriate Plus or Prime folders.

Nano Nozzle Reader – newly released Version 01.25.03 features:

  1. Battery consumption improvements
  2. Low battery LED indicator (LED indicator blinks when battery needs replacement)
  3. Empty battery is reported to the controller, device automatically shuts down

NOTE: Items 2 and 3 in this list have been restored to the firmware after being removed in an earlier version
